BGO Overlay

Overlay generated from bugs.gentoo.org

!!! This overlay is higly experimental !!!

The overlay BGO is generated from bugs.gentoo.org.

A script parse ebuild set as UNCONFIRMED,CONFIRMED and IN PROGRESS in bugs.gentoo.org. This script then check if description contain bump, new package, new ebuild or ebuild request. In these cases, the script check the bug and put all attachments in a database. In the same time, it try to find category and the type (patch, log, ebuild,...).

When the script have all files, it try to generate the overlay. For that it creates categories, package, and put .ebuild and patch at the right place. Then manifest and metadata are generated, if errors the ebuild is deleted.

So this overlay is really experimental. I will add more tests and check to try to have valid ebuilds. I also need to add more ebuilds, some are not yet correctly detected.

A package.mask is generated, so you have to unmask ebuilds you want to install.

The goal : list all ebuilds available on bugs.gentoo.org on gpo.zugaina.org.

Why ? to be able to search in all available ebuilds at the same place.

If you really want to use this overlay :layman -o http://gpo.zugaina.org/lst/gpo-repositories.xml -L (else layman don't seem to download the xml) then layman -a bgo-overlay -o http://gpo.zugaina.org/lst/gpo-repositories.xml
